Pole Fitness - Pole Barre

A total body conditioning philosophy combining Corrective Dance Exercises, Ballet Barre, Pilates Ped-o-pull, & Pole. Focused on the core, shoulders, hips, & ankles. Preparing athletes to safely achieve flexibility, strength, & artistry.

Pole Fitness - Poleates

You don’t have to work out harder, work out smarter. Train yourself to be an efficient finely tuned machine with this core and postural stability program using Pilates exercises on the pole to achieve balance, control, and artistry.

Fitness - Flexibility and Conditioning

Whether you want to want to touch your fingers to your toes or work on your oversplits, we have room for you. This class is open to all fitness levels and uses a variety of flexibility techniques including active flexibility, PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) stretching, and mobility to strengthen and stretch our bodies. This class allows you to listen and connect with your body to take your flexibility to the next level in a safe and mindful manner.

Fitness: Strengthen and Stretch for Splits

Build up your range of motion, strength, and flexibility get your jade splits, spreadies, and heel clacks using active flexibility techniques. Focus is on Splits.

Foundational Pole Tricks (All Level)

What trick are you working on? Let our instructor know and we can give you progressions to be able to obtain that trick in no time!

This class mixes all levels with combinations and variations of tricks for any level. Be prepared to be inspired as you connect pieces and see how base moves can be modified into new shapes. Not recommended as a student’s first class.

Pole Open Studio

Indulge in the opportunity to explore the studio equipment and connect with other students and instructors without the rigidity of a structured class. Swing on the silks, play with the clocks, straps, weights, and more! This class is for you if you love to brush up on skills, put your mind together with others on combos and tricks, and/or expand your fitness routine with freedom.

This is not for brand new students of pole or silks. There will be no instruction provided at Open Studio.

Pre-requisite: Must be at least a Level 1.

Looking for ways to work on choreographing your own routine? Trying to determine your own personal dance style? Or just wanting to learn how to connect your movement to the music? Freestyle is a great way to work through all of that. Leave your reservations at home and learn how to let the music lead your movement.

Exotic Pole Tricks (All Levels)

This new class is sensuality meets fitness. Get fit while exploring your sexy side! Learn basic exotic skills like conditioning your legs, ankles, and feet to walk and dance in heels. Move into learning combos, transitions, and floor work that utilize exotic technique. This class will unleash your sexy inner goddess!
Heels are required and knee pads or leg warmers are highly recommended. This class will be tailored for all skill levels, but is not recommended as a first pole class. Pole dancing in heels is an additional challenge so having some pole experience will make this class easier to enjoy.

Pre-requisites: Not recommended as a first class. Student should be at least at a beginner level.

Tailored to your individual fitness level with options to make exercises more or less difficult, Pole Boot Camp is a combination of weight training and aerobics for the ultimate fat blasting, strength training workout!

Slink and slither your way to the learn to gracefully and sensually move in your floor work and transition to low pole moves, tricks, and spins. Heels are welcome and knee pads are recommended. All levels are welcome to this class.

Pre-Requisites: Not recommended as a first class. Student should have taken the intro to pole 4 week series or at least three pole fundamentals classes and considered a Level 1. It is recommended for student to take intro to floorwork first.

Cirque-it (R) Fitness is cirucuit-style training that incorporates techniques and principles of circus arts with a foundation in science and biomechanics. AERIALATES® body leverage training is dynamic exercise that combines the aerial arts with Pilates to challenge and inspire the body and spirit. Aerialates is a brand of aerial pilates that utilizes many of the principles developed by Joseph Pilates, who himself was an acrobat and circus performer.

This is classified as a Tricks class. Come get sweaty while having fun! This class is perfect for anyone who has ever been curious about aerial hammock to the most seasoned of aerial performers. We will start with a brief yoga infused warm up and then rapidly moving into more strength training moves. Broken up with aerial dance tricks, and performance skill pointers, you will work hard without even knowing it half the time!

Beginner Level Classes

Pole Dance: Choreography Level 1 & 2

Learn a choreographed routine, learning a little more each week so that you have a routine to a whole song at the end of the month. Routines incorporate flow and floor work, while showcasing musicality and a theatrical style. This class is geared toward students who have taken an Intro to Pole class and the tricks and moves we do are geared towards beginner level. Do not need to invert, but climbing would be helpful. Heels are welcome, but not required.

Pre-requisites: Not recommended as a first class. Student should be at least at a Level 1.

Foundational Pole Tricks 1 (New Students and Level 1)

This 60 minute class will meet once a week for four weeks. Our Level 1 students will build on the foundation from Intro including climbing and building strength to be able to invert.

Tried our Intro to Pole classes and think you’re ready to do that in heels? Explore the sexier side of pole in this beginner level class. This class is sexy fitness at its best! Pre-requisite: Should have taken either three pole fundamental classes or the intro to pole series.

Curious about taking your workout to the floor? This is a beginner level floorwork class that will teach you to gracefully and sensually move in your floor work with beginner level floorwork moves. Heels are welcome but not required (wear socks instead) and knee pads are recommended.

Our Tricks 2 students will begin to string together combos using tricks from Intro and Level 1, work on upright tricks off the ground, and work on conditioning our bodies to handle the increased intensity in pole tricks, spins, and floor work that is found in more advanced levels.

Pre-requisites: Students must at least a Level 1 and a strong climb.

Intermediate Level Classes

Pole Dance: Sensual Low Flow and Floorwork Level 2 & 3

With an exotic element, learn to gracefully and sensually move in your floor work and transition to low pole moves, tricks, and spins. Heels are welcome and knee pads are recommended. All levels are welcome to this class.

Pre-Requisites: Not recommended as a first class. Student should be at least at a Beginner level.

This class focuses on training the body to hit those power moves while expertly navigating the high life in heels and on the pole. From static tricks and transitions to spin pole technique, this class will take your exotic, sultry routine to the next level. This class will put together combos and routines that emphasize high power and high energy moves executed in heels as well as low pole and floor heel work, while creating flow and connection between tricks.

Pre-requisites: Must be at least a Level 2 AND have take two Exotic Tricks classes or receive prior approval from studio owner.

Pole Dance: Power Pole (Level 2 and Level 3) $20 per classFrom $14 per visit with 10 Class Punch Card passPurchase required to enroll

This class focuses on training the body to hit those power moves on the pole. From static tricks and transitions to spin pole technique, this class will take your routine to the next level. This class will put together combos and routines that emphasize high power and high energy moves, while creating flow and connection between tricks. This is considered a tricks class and is suitable for intermediate/advance level students.

Pre-requisites: Student must be at a Level 2 or above AND have taken at least three tricks classes as a Level 2.

Foundational Pole Tricks 3 (Advanced Level 2 and Level 3)

Our Tricks 3 students will begin to string together combos using tricks from Intro and Level 1, work on inverted tricks, and work on conditioning our bodies to handle the increased intensity in pole tricks, spins, and floor work that is found in Level 2.

Pre-requisites: Students must at least a Level 2 with a strong invert.

This tricks class is designed to build beginner, intermediate, and advanced pole skills into beautiful and dynamic combinations. Explore your skill set in unique ways and learn how to combine those skills into longer performance passes. Build strength through pole conditioning to increase stamina and get creative! Prerequisite: This class is designed for students with a solid invert. (Level 2 and up).

Pole Tricks: Drops and Tumbles - Advanced Level 1 and up (Need Instructor Approval) $20 per classFrom $14 per visit with 10 Class Punch Card passPurchase required to enroll

Calling all BAD A*** polers! This class is for you. Not for the feint of heart, this class will take you to new heights and back to the floor again with learning proper technique and conditioning to get those drops and tumbles that will shock and awe while being mindful of your body. Due to the nature of the tricks and movement in this class, you will need to receive permission prior to registering. Please email info@knockoutbodies.com to inquire about this class. Classes will be smaller to ensure one on one attention .

Knockout Bodies is the Twin Cities' premier pole dance studio to host your next party. Your private party will begin with 45 minutes to enjoy our sophisticated lounge, open gifts, have snacks, and socialize. Enjoy a complimentary bottle of sparkling cider (serves up to 8 guests). Next step into the KO pole studio for a one hour lesson of your choice. Use the remaining time to finish with photos before heading out on the town!

Ladies Happy Hour is our monthly 90 minute workshop that will give you a taste of the pole dance fun that you can have in our classes with your ladies! Invite your girl squad out for a high-energy pole dance class before hitting the town for the evening. Bare feet only. No heels please. Class is 60 minutes with 30 minutes of snacks and non-alcoholic drinks provided after class.

Turkey Twerk Workshop $25Purchase required to enroll

Get ready to burn off your thanksgiving calories with jiggles, shakes, and pops! In this super fun workshop, Myss Angie will have you getting down, dirty, and sweaty with a Turkey Twerk dance choreo to shimmy off those holiday calories. Then you will get to cool it all off with a stretch and re-energize yourself with healthy snacks and lounge time. Feel free to bring kneepads or other knee protection. Curious about Aerials? This workshop is just for you! Designed for beginners of all fitness levels, you'll learn the basic on aerial hammock, split panel, and lyra. No dance or aerial experience is necessary. At the end of the workshop, you'll feel confident and ready to jump into our aerial classes.

Divine Movement Workshop $25Purchase required to enroll

In this workshop, we’ll embrace the meaning of divine by tapping into our entire being. This entails emotional body, physical body, and the subtle body. Why do we choose to dance, to move? What attracts us to being here in the now? What does it mean to be here in the now? The goal for this workshop is to submerge ourselves with intention and to be free in our bodies. My hope is that it comes from a meaningful place- perhaps a place of the divine- from you, yourself! The source of it all! This is an all level friendly workshop. The approach is aimed less at athleticism or performance, and more towards what you feel when you move. The thoughts and feelings that arise IN THE MOMENT- IN THE MOVEMENT. We’ll incorporate techniques from the practice of meditation, postures from yoga, a small amount of pole, and GROUNDED movement on the floor.

Note: If you have any health concerns with smudging (sage) or essential oils, please let the instructor know upon arrival as these will be used within the workshop.

What to bring: your own yoga mat if you prefer (we have you covered though!), a journal or notebook, an open mind and an open heart.
